Bourke House
A challenging alteration and addition to a terrace on an exceptionally small lot.
The extensively rebuilt terrace house in one of Surry Hill's best leafy streets is a fusion of old and new.
The tri-level terrace provides a seamless connection between inside and out, featuring a fully integrated indoor/outdoor kitchen and wide bi-fold doors to the rear courtyard.
After restoring the street facade to its original character, the rear was extended to create an open-plan living space with a soaring glass roof atrium. This allowed the living areas to be filled with natural light, providing a relaxed atmosphere and increased sense of space.
